Forum rules
This Forum is designed for the Hardcore (gigging/performing) 7 & 8 string guitar users. This section will be loose compared to the rest of the main forum topics. You can carry yourself anyway you see fit. If your Internet e-feelings get hurt easily- Don't Post Here 1. No misleading or stating incorrect facts about Schecter and other products. 2. No slanderous or negative statements/comments about Pro-Musicians or Forum Members. You never know who will stop by. 3. No inappropriate posts- if it's nonsense Don't Post It Here!! 4. No shit slinging We are hoping for the atmosphere that's in most Artist Lounges you find in the bigger recording studios. We want this place to be a gathering for musicians, such as yourself, to come and have some A+ conversation with others about guitars, gear, on the road experiences, etc . So order yourself a drink at the wet bar and come inside and see who's hanging out.

Can't spend any money yet, between moving to Huntington Beach coming up and not having any extra money: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/prod ... sku=584542I have always wanted to jam on an 8 string, I love 7s, and toying with an even further extended range would be insane!, and $600 ain't bad considering my musiciansfriend card balance is $0 right now, and that would only cost me $50/month for 12 months!!! Maybe I'll order one up in a month...

Too bad those damiens aren't set necks....I am not a huge fan of bolt ons.
I really dig my C-8 hellraiser. She is lonely though. I would love to get her a satin black C-8 ATX in satin black to keep her company.

For just 450 of my euros, I'd be satisfied anyway

I'd personally rather spend the extra dough and get the C-8 ATX in satin black. The set-neck, ebony board, and blackouts would be worth it to me.

Have you got to play it though? I know the neck is obviously wider, but is it the same thickness at schecter's 7-strings or is it even thicker? Schecter 7s are pretty much my max for neck thickness, like playing a log cabin!
